Its not about a bunny...
For years I used to think that easter was a day of eggs, candy and scavenger hunts. Not fully understanding what the meaning of it was. First I thought it was because of the day Jesus was born... But that was April 6. Then I thought it was because the egg symbolizes new life. Errrrr. Neither of those were the right answers.
Last week I finally learned the reason for it. My dad had always told us why but it always went into one ear and came from the other. Now that I'm a bit older, I understand it now.
Easter is not about a bunny that lays eggs ... (Btw how ridiculous is that? Lol) PR candy, or scavenger hunts, its about Jesus Christ and what he did for us. Day to day it is always something I think about because of everything that I can do, is only possible because of him. He died for us. And he lives. Just like we will one day.
