What kind of blogger am I? What kind of blog is this? These are the kind of questions every person who starts a blog just thinks about over and over until they nail it down to a specific category. I don't really want to label mine and say that it's a lifestyle blog, but really a personal blog, where I share anything I want, and I mean anything that matters most to me, so that in some way you can come to see that we care about the same things, we try and accomplish the same things.

The reason why my blogs name is "On my way to Zion" is real simple.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I want to share ways or thoughts on how everyday that goes by is an opportunity to build Zion.

What Is Zion? My good friend Google says: Zion retains its Biblical meaning and refers to Jerusalem. Zion is the name of a physical city founded by the prophet Enoch, also known as the City of Enoch. 

In the book of Moses chapter 7 verses 18-19, it talks about Zion and what you would come to find there if you went there I'm going to quote two verses...

Verse 18; And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them.

19 And Enoch continued his preaching in righteousness unto the people of God. And it came to pass in his days, that he built a city that was called the City of Holiness, even Zion. (Click here to read Moses chapter 7 on Lds.org)

 

Everyday that goes by I am in a way, trying to reach zion as well, by all the lessons I have in life I want to share them with you so that some way it can either inspire you or help you-- whatever it may be it doesn't matter as long as you do something to also "Be on your way to Zion" so that together we can go to Zion! (That should be my motto... or is it too cheesy?)

 

There you have it, I feel like as I write each post, as I express my feelings on how to become closer to our Heavenly Father, we can be of one heart. We can dwell in righteousness. We can help each other out.

Blogging isn't the only way I planned on helping others, I am also planning on serving A mission! Where I go away from home for 18 months and preach the gospel.

Anyways, Like I've said in the About me bio, I am horrible at writing Bios and explaining things. So, please don't hate me for this long paragraph of what my blog is, I kinda wanted to really put my whole idea why I wanted to start a blog.

Before you leave thinking that my blog is only for Latter-Day Saints, HOLD UP! I also will be posting other things that aren't only about the gospel.

There will also be other things such as book reviews, journal pages, quotes, way to ___, best movies to watch-- you get the idea so stay tuned for all the fun stuff I have planned and go to the subscription page!
