What I learned at GWC
First off, A little bit about what Women's Conference is... It's a world wide yearly gathering for all the woman in the church, where the Woman Presidencies (Primary,Relief Society ect.) gather to share uplifting messages to all the LDS women in the world or anyone who wants to hear. We receive guidance and encouragement about gospel living based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. And I'm just going to share a few things with you that I learned from each talk on that Saturday evening.

- Lean not to your own understanding and standing as a witness of God.
The ways I can do this is by doing 3 steps;
1. Reading Scriptures.
Feasting on the words of Christ to increase my trust in the Lord.
2. Prayer.
Let the Lord lead the way and guide you to do good and stay safe wherever you are.
3. Serve Others.
When I go through my trials I should serve anyone I can. By doing that, I will be greatly blessed but so will others. I will be able to give happiness to others and myself because by putting others before me, will make me come to see people the way the Lord does.
Carol F. Mconkie.
Our Holy Father is a God of expectations, good ones! He knows us, knows you, and knows all of the good we can and will do by the help and guide he offers us. We can be Sanctified by the power of the Atonement that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ made possible for us. (WE SHOULD USE IT)
Strengthen one another, when someone needs us we should be there in their time of need.
Zion must increase in Beauty and holiness. We should keep our convents and give God his glory.
Linda K Burton
"Hold on... the Lord will provide"
From the Old Testament Generations to today's generation there are sisters who have been Witnesses of God's blessings, of course, the trials we have, are made to make our weaknesses become strengths. Even though salvation is personal, doesn't mean we can't go out and invite others to start their salvation process.
May we be those women that don't abandon Our Savior in our times of need and help to build the kingdom of God.
Being able to recognize the sacrifice that Jesus Christ has made for us and how he didn't abandon us when we needed him and died for us helps us recognize our sins and become holy again, if we take part of the atonement process, making sure that we use it because it was given to us because we're not perfect and Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father knew that so they bless us with the opportunity in our lives so that we can return to our Heavenly Father,Again.
Henry B. Eyring
God will send peace to us--- but in his way, not the worlds.
Our weaknesses will become strong.
We cannot progress if you don't come to find our weakness and challenge it to become better.
Remembering is one of the special gifts that the Holy Ghost can give us. One day when we need become spiritually weak, we can come to remember a certain time where we saw the Lord's hand in our lives.
Comfort should not be something we need to focus on but progress I have.
By doing what I need to progress I might be an "uncomfortable" event for us, efforts in change = the results we get. If we are set to change and that's all we think about, our result will be an amazing success.
We are daughters of God and should be able to represent him and share the blessings he gives us in life, that's why we need the Holy Ghost.
Look at others the way heavenly father has seen them, they are greater than we think and treat them the way Christ would.
Pray, with all the energy in my heart not just because it's something I've been taught to do but have no idea why I do it. But simply because I sincerely have gratitude towards him.
If I have a goal, it might seem like such a distant one but heavenly father can see how close I am if i keep going and have faith in his help and how he guides me in my progress, whether it be school-wise, job-wise, and any kind of goal I am setting.
I pretty much just summarized some of the things that I wrote down in my journal because these are the main points that I thought of as soon as they spoke to us and I really hope that you guys can look more into the talks and kind of just listen/learn for you yourselves what lessons or advice these talks could bring to you.

I really hope that in some way these messages will touch your heart in order for you to know that heavenly father loves us and whether you aren't or are a member of the church, he still loves you because we are all his children.
If you listened to these talks let me know which one was your favorite talk and share with me an Insight on how this can help us in life!
