4 ways to show gratitude to Our Heavenly Father💘··
Good news! Lately I've been thinking of a new topic to add to my blog, from the many that I am already planning on adding, this one I just couldnt wait to do, I have decided I will now be posting an LDS related topic at least twice a week, there are so many things that I learn and just want to share! To start off the new topic I've added, I'm going to share how truly amazing the gospel is in my life & how grateful I am for all the blessings that my father has given me, from the air that I breathe to being able to wake up to a new day! So if you want to add 4 more things to your list of ideas of showing your love and thanks to our father in heaven, by all means, scroll down! :)
I always try to think of new and simple ways that I can thank him for everything he has done for me and my family and I want to share 4 simple ways you can do it...
1· Reading/Studying the Scriptures.
Not only reading them but study, ponder, apply them to your life and have the desire to continue to learn. There will be a day where you will be able to help others when they have questions and need help--guidance in their hard times, the way that God guided the prophets in the Book of Mormon when they had tough times.
Today while I was in my Mission Prep Class, we talked about how important it is to learn from the scriptures. By simply reading just to say we read ,and cross that off our "To-Dos" list, it won't do much for us, this is why when we read, we should take some time to really have a question in mind, "how did will I get through this hard time in life?", "how will this help me in my life and decisions I make today?"
there are many questions you can ask yourself that really will help as to what answers you're searching for.
Also, being able to step back and think to yourself --what answer did I just recieve? Take a moment to really have the Holy Ghost reveal unto you what you're searching for, our teacher that evening, (from my very own ward) Brother Lopez, commented a very true and common mistake that we make (or at least I DO).. when we get our answer, and we don't like it, we tend to convince ourselves "No, that can't be it"-- I cannot express the feeling his comment gave me, at first it was funny because it was definitely something I've done many times... Then suddenly, that feeling of guilt, because I've been stubborn like that many times, to where I myself start to wonder why I don't recieve my answers and wonder for days what I'm doing wrong. Let me tell you this, his answer is final, no matter how hard we try to ignore it, it'll still be there and until we stop acting like we can't see it, he's waiting for us to do the right thing by obeying his answer. Again, no matter how hard it is.

2· Ask him what HE needs from you
(Think of this as an exchange, he gives you a blessing and you give him what he needs from you.)
This is also known as a Prayer.
When I was in Primary, (probably when I was 9 years of age), whenever I would hear the word Prayer, I'd think-- "Okay Karls, say something beautiful and kind, that will touch other peoples hearts." Little did I know that I wasn't doing it correctly, I'm not praying to the people around me, I'm praying to my father in heaven. You often hear someone say super nice things like "Bless those who aren't here today..." yet when church is over, we forget about those who didn't attend church that sunday, it's real sweet but we should probably say a little something like, "give us the opportunity to visit those who didn't come today, that we may visit them and invite them to be with us." Elder David A. Bednar (Member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles) had also talked about the same thing in a world wide missionary talk.
Not gonna lie, I too have said the same prayer, but I've learned that instead of asking God to do everything, we should take that chance to do something for others, so we can be an instrument in Gods hands.

3· Fulfilling a calling we have in church
Maybe some of us don't have a calling, but we don't need to wait to have one to do some good. As a Primary Teacher, I've learned so much from the little people (4 y/o's) and can I just say, they inspire me to become better as a teacher and person. In order to fufill my calling, I have to study and really prepare my class for them and myself, to learn. If you don't have a calling, simply ask your bishop or even a church leader if you can help them in any way, For example, most of the time my dad needs help when we organize a small party for the holidays and it's amazing to see people come out and lend a hand when we need one. Asking a teacher if they ever need help when they miss a sunday and need someone to take over, you can be that helping hand! As we work together we slowly build the kingdom of God.❤
You shouldn't sit back and wait for someone to ask for help, you should be up and ready to work! :)
4· Attending church & the Temple
Sundays are my favorite because I go to church every Sunday for three hours! In those three hours I learn, listen, help and also know why I love this gospel so much. If you don't go to church, I invite you to stop by to one this coming Sunday and just kind of see what I'm talking about, by learning about going to church, find the nearest missionaries you see/know, they are there to serve and teach you!
Going to the temple is one of my favorite things, sitting in the waiting room is absolutely delightful, seeing others be baptized for the dead is a real big blessing and amazing opportunity.
Yes, sometimes it's hard to get up at 5 am and go to church and meet up there and wait for a real long time to a point where you start to fall asleep! (Its happened more than once to me lol) But when I get there, I feel such peace, it's indescribable, and the best way to feel inspiration from the Holy Ghost.
Go to the temple friends, it's the Lord's house and he welcomes you as long as you are worthy of it. ❤

Like I've mentioned earlier, these are not even half of what you can do, there is so much more you can do to show God the gratitude you have towards him, I hope you can come to use these as well, I have to say that I too am trying to do all of these as much as I possibly can, I never stop trying. Even when I feel that I've failed to show him my gratitude maybe because something goes wrong, like my car breaks down on the way to the temple or my scriptures are no where to be found and I need them because I don't know what chapter I'm on. Don't give up! If your car breaks down, call a friend or family member to take you or simply just go tomorrow-- but you have to go through with it. If you can't find your scriptures, take out your phone and read somewhere close to where you read last, also, always pay attention where you're reading, that way you don't need to have that excuse. Just keep on trying and if you do, God will bless you for the intention to do what he wants from you.
What are some other ways you've shown your gratitude/love for our father in heaven? Oh, please share them with me, I would love to expand my list!
**Thank you for reading! Hope you come back tomorrow!
