My thoughts on... (Mosiah 21)

I'm going to start off just sharing my thoughts about mosiah chapter 21, of course not all of them but just something that i strongly feel an urge to share for those tough times, and for the good ones.
Mosiah 21:
verses 1- 5 talks about how the lamanites would still try and pick on the nephites, even though king limhi and the king of the lamanites were on good terms. The only thing that the lamanites would do to the nephites was pretty much pick on them, but they couldn't kill them.
verses 6-13 continues talking about how the nephites would be tired of them picking on them so they declared war with the lamanites-- three times, each time they had the same result- some of their men would die.
verses 14&15 the people of Limhi ask god for help , to stop the afflictions and god did hear them, but waited just a little bit longer because they did do some bad stuff so in a way they had to understand that they still deserved the consequences from their actions
verses 23-36 ammon and his brothers come to discover the jaredite plates, limhi and some of his people want to be basptized.
Q: what did i get from this? How can i apply it to my everyday life?
A:the biggest thing that really catches my attention is that whole entire part where the Nephites go against the Lamanites in a battle and they end up losing a lot of people every single time, they are suffering, mourning, then finally humble themselves (v.13) where they cry unto the lord for help, then in verse 15 it says; "and now the lord was slow to hear their cry because of their iniquities ; nevertheless the lord did hear their cries, and began to soften the hearts of the Lamanites that they began to ease their burdens; yet the lord did not see fit to deliver them out of bondage" what is clearly understood here is that whenever I ask the lord for help I know he is there, I know he is listening to whatever I have to say and all, but the reason as to why sometimes something I ask for isn't happening, its not gods fault, it's mine, like the people of Limhi they might have done some bad stuff, so they obviously have to pay the consequences that are lined up for them because they chose to do what they did, same thing with me! I can't expect god to give me what I ask for when I'm not doing anything to receive it. makes total sense. and if I'm still not getting what I asked for, I should wait, because gods timing is perfect, so I should have faith in him and keep doing what I'm doing to receive the answers I need.
