There have been many times where I am already 10 minutes into walking my dog and I realize that I forgot something, whether it be a little poop bag or a treat. So I put together this small list so you have everything you need to consider taking when you and your pup go on a walk!

Tip #1- Poop bags! Every now and then your furry little friend will want to go on and answer nature's call and just poo anywhere at anytime! So you must be prepared so your dog doesn't leave a small present on your neighbor's lawn! Tip #2- Water!! When walking sometimes your dog will probably want water to continue with the walk, that way the walk won't be cut short because you have to go back home for water. Tip #3- Take a clicker, the clicker method for training is really great! Take one and if you don't know how to use one then go on YouTube and look for one that suits you. Tip #4- Treats for your Pooch! Normally when you walk your little furry friend, they have a lot of freedom, meaning they will want to do anything they please and its a lot harder for you to get their attention, you can use treats by keeping them calm when another dog is around or of they listen to your commands. This can be another method instead of the clicker. Tip #5- Proper Dog I.D. Just in case your dog slips out of its collar and decides to go all on his own, which I hope doesn't happen! But better safe than sorry. Tip #6- Good shoes! Now this one is for the owner, your dog might surprise you with a small running session, mine definitely does. So I wear running shoes whenever I go out with them. Tip #7- Tighten collar or harness. One time when I wasn't paying attention my dog was able to slip out of his collar and luckily, he didn't run or anything, so make to avoid losing your baby, FASTEN THOSE COLLARS! Tip #8- Timing. You want to make sure you time your walk, more than 10 minutes! Try going around your neighborhood twice or anything that won't make you go home early. Tip #9- Reflective collar or leash. If you're taking an afternoon stroll you might want to make sure you and your dog are visible during later hours. You could probably purchase a harness or collar online with reflective items. Tip #10- Have fun! Explore by going to a park and spend time with your furry friend! Taking walks is not only for your pooch but for you as well!
